Continuing Education Event November 4, 2018

On November 4th, 2018, Manitoba Professional Acupuncture Association held a continuing education event for it's members. Total 20 members attended the seminar.
Seminar topics:

  1. Exercise physiology and fitness. Presented by Dr. Michael Zhang
  2. FSN acupuncture practice case studies. Presented by Yu Ying Qiu R. Ac, R. PT
Dr. Michael Zhang is a director of the Wellness Institute at Seven Oaks Hospital, a world recognized leader in rehabilitation and research. Dr. Zhang spoke on exercise physiology and fitness. He explained the theory behind prescribing fitness plans for cardiac and diabetic clients, the research being conducted and a variety of other interesting topics.

Dr. Yujing Qui, Registered Acupuncturist and Physiotherapist at Bei Jing Physiotherapy Pain Clinic, reviewed case studies of Dr. Fu's FSN acupuncture technique. This technique was taught last year by Dr. Fu Zhong Hua, in Winnipeg. This case study reviewed de Quervain’s disease (tenosynovitis of the thumb.), Carpal Tunnel Syndrome , Plantar Fasciitis and Bell’s palsy. Fu's FSN acupuncture for above diseases, the treatment method, techniques precautions and outcomes.

At the end of the seminar, members actively asked questions and discussed with both doctors. It is a very successful seminar and MPAA members had a great time.
